Clear aligner therapy is an alternative option to metal braces for those seeking orthodontic treatment. The type of clear aligners that we use in our practice is called Invisalign and is a proven way to straighten your teeth, all without the hassle of brackets and traditional metal.
If you are a good candidate for Invisalign, an impression will be taken along with a series of intraoral and facial photos. These will be sent to a lab where your invisible aligners are made. Depending on the severity of your case, your treatment length may be as short as 6 months or as long as 2 or 3 years. During this time, you will wear each aligner for the whole day (except while eating) and change out aligners at a prescribed time interval. At the end of your treatment schedule, a permanent retainer will be made and given to you to wear for proper maintenance of the alignment of your teeth.
